Job Description:
As a senior accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow statements are prepared and reviewed to the highest standards.
* Prepare and review monthly financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow statements
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Prepare and lodge statutory requirements
* Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors
* Improve and streamline financial systems and processes
* Mentor and support junior finance staff as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field
* CPA/CA qualification (or working towards)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior accounting role
* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance obligations
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
