The role of Principal Improvement is key in driving improvements across the value chain at GEMCO to optimize operational performance, enhance capability, and support business strategy execution.
* Embed continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational performance and enhance capability.
* Lead the implementation and governance of the South32 Operating System.
* Develop GEMCO's Annual Business Plan and goal cascading process.
As the Principal Improvement, you will be responsible for leading and embedding continuous improvement initiatives across the value chain at GEMCO.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be the champion for sites implementation and governance of the South32 Operating System.
* Play a critical part in developing GEMCO's Annual Business Plan and goal cascading process.
* Conduct performance diagnostics and identify operational improvement opportunities.
* Coach and mentor operational personnel in business improvement methodologies.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar role, driving improvements within large-scale organisations.
* Strong communication and consultative skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence decision-making across teams.
* Experience in coaching, training, and building improvement capabilities in operational teams.
Qualifications:
* Tertiary, trade, or postgraduate qualification in relevant discipline (Engineering, Finance, Mining, Processing or similar).
* Current Driver's Licence.
