The role
We are looking for a Home Automation Support Technician to join our office-based team.
You will provide technical support to installers, wholesalers and homeowners primarily from the office via phone, email, and remote access tools.
The role also involves attending residential or commercial sites occasionally for commissioning, troubleshooting or maintenance.
Key responsibilities
Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and online tools
Assist installers and customers with system setup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Diagnose hardware, software, network, and integration issues
Attend site visits as needed for complex issues, warranty work, or commissioning
Support smart home integrations including Google Home, Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Control4, and Home Assistant
Document faults, resolutions, and system details accurately
Contribute to internal knowledge base and technical documentation
Provide guidance or training to installers and customers when required
Skills and experience
Background in electronics, electrical systems, HVAC, IT, or smart home technology
Hands-on experience with smart home systems or networked devices is highly desirable
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills for assisting customers and installers
Well organised and able to document technical issues clearly
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites within Perth metro
