Role Description
As a
Technical Services Engineer
, you will provide engineering and technical support to ensure the continuing airworthiness, safety, and operational reliability of our clients' aircraft fleets. Working across multiple clients and aircraft types, you'll apply your engineering judgement within the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) framework while supporting maintenance activities, audits, and fleet projects.
This role offers exposure to a wide variety of technical challenges and the opportunity to work closely with operators, regulators, OEMs, and approved maintenance organisations.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Providing technical engineering support to ensure aircraft remain airworthy, compliant, and available for service
* Assessing Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and regulatory notices, and developing compliance plans
* Reviewing client technical records for projects such as structural repair assessments and Airbus Extended Service Goal (ESG) compliance
* Liaising with CASR Part 21 Design Organisations on the development and revision of Engineering Orders, repairs, and technical instructions
* Working with CASA, OEMs, Design Organisations, and CASR Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisations on technical issues, repairs, and modifications
* Contributing technical input to Approved Maintenance Programs, ensuring regulatory and operational alignment
* Assisting with incident and occurrence investigations, defect reporting, and root cause analysis within an SMS framework
* Supporting fleet projects including aircraft induction, transition, and phase-out activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A tertiary qualification in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or industry equivalent
* Experience working with large aircraft types (e.g. Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Boeing 787)
* Relevant engineering experience within an airline, OEM, consultancy, or regulatory environment
* Strong working knowledge of CASR Part 42, Part 145, and Part 21
* A solid understanding of continuing airworthiness management, technical records, and reliability programs
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver practical solutions
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to liaise confidently with regulators, OEMs, and maintenance providers
