In 2021 Bupa is proud to have expanded our Health Services contract with the Australian Defence Force to the provision of services to the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).
The Department of Veterans' Affairs is an Australian Government organisation that supports those who serve or have served in the defence of our nation and commemorate their service and sacrifice. Our role is to support the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) to meet the Nation's commitment to care for our veteran and defence service community - the men and women who have served Australia in times of war and conflict as well as peacetime.
As part of Bupa's service offering, Bupa assists the Department of Veterans' Affairs by providing high-quality clinical advice.
**About the role**
Based from the ACT Health Centre at Duntroon, The Transition Medical Assessment Pilot Project (TMAPP) assists transitioning and injured Defence members by providing them with high quality medical evidence to be submitted with their claims to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
As part of this program, we're looking for an exceptional Medical Administrator to join the team on a 12 month contract and help support our transitioning members through:
- Collating clinical records for medical personnel;
- Maintaining electronic and hard copy health records;
- Inputting health data to health and personnel management information systems;
- Communicating and liaise effectively with internal and external customers, including other health services/facilities to obtain patient information as required;
- Provide reports from databases when required to assist with the achievement of unit key performance indicators;
- Performing mail collection and distribution.
**About you**
We're looking for an admin professional with:
- high-level communication skills,
- attention to detail
- solid understanding of medical terminology
**Please note: You must be an Australian citizen and be able to attain and maintain a baseline security clearance from the Defence security and vetting service. This process takes approximately 12 weeks.**
