Salary: Level B $124,656 to $148,023 p.a. plus 17% superannuation
Responsibilities
* Lead transformative Cultural Studies teaching that explores contemporary identities, culture and everyday life within a world‐class university.
* Inspire and support diverse students as an education‐focused Cultural Studies Lecturer.
* Design and deliver high‐quality lectures, tutorials and seminars in Cultural Studies across multiple levels and subject areas.
* Coordinate Cultural Studies subjects, including assessment design, marking, tutor supervision and ongoing subject quality assurance.
* Develop innovative, technology‐enhanced learning resources and curricula, including cross‐disciplinary and student mobility opportunities where appropriate.
* Support Honours and higher degree research students through supervision, research training and fostering inclusive scholarly communities.
* Contribute to School and Faculty service through committees, leadership roles and continuous professional development in teaching excellence.
Qualifications
* Hold a completed PhD in Cultural Studies or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrate strong teaching specialization in Cultural Studies, with experience delivering engaging subjects at tertiary level.
* Bring proven subject coordination experience, including assessment oversight, tutor supervision and quality enhancement.
* Teach confidently across at least two focus areas, such as identities, cities, culture, economy, industry and consumer culture.
* Support diverse learners by designing inclusive curricula and learning environments informed by contemporary pedagogical best practice.
* Exhibit highly collegial, professional conduct and engage actively in continuing professional development and service.
