Principal technology officer

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with QPS values as outlined above.
Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Support the installation and configuration of software, hardware and/or equipment, and test specific versions of one or more of these products.
Build, document and implement technical solutions within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
Provision of sound advice and recommendations regarding technical specialisms and their application.
Utilise appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures.
Support the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of specific infrastructure components in proposed implementations.
Actively participate in a team of specialist technical resources in the delivery of complex technical solutions.
Perform administrative functions and other duties as directed by the supervisor.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Demonstrated ability or the ability to quickly learn eHealth Queensland's ITIL Service Management processes, primarily incident / problem / change / configuration management.
(SFIA: USUP Level 3, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 3, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 2)
High level understanding and technical skills in one or more of the following:
Windows 10, Windows 11
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
Directory Services (Microsoft Active Directory and Novell eDirectory)
Active Directory Group Policy administration and configuration
Application packaging (MSI, application virtualisation, scripting technologies)
Enterprise printing solutions (Novell iPrint)
Demonstrated high level technical expertise evidenced by the ability to provide professional support, advice and solutions.
(SFIA: ITOP Level 4)
Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions.

Proven ability to work in a team environment, developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
