* Base Salary $146,197 - $154,260 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The School of Rural Health (Dubbo/Orange) is looking for a School Manager (Rural Health). We are a rural clinical school of the Sydney Medical School with locations in both Dubbo and Orange. Our aim is to contribute to the development of the rural medical workforce by providing training in an environment that delivers medical graduates and doctors with the aptitude, knowledge, and skills to provide quality care for rural, regional, and remote Australia. We have teaching, clinical and accommodation facilities in both Dubbo and Orange for students undertaking their study with us.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operational activities and academic endeavours of the school, coordinating closely with the school leadership to achieve specific objectives and goals.
* Serve as a key advisor and leader in the development and implementation of the school's strategy and related business plans, providing guidance on achieving objectives in alignment with the overarching University strategy and Commonwealth funded schemes.
* Manage and implement external engagement strategies, fostering relationships with professional bodies and alumni within the school.
* Oversee the implementation of work area budgets, monitor spending to ensure alignment with financial projections, and contribute to periodic budget review.
* Provide effective leadership, guidance, and advice to staff in the work area to ensure the proactive achievement of outcomes.
