Are you ready to take your actuarial career to the next level? Chubb is seeking a Principal Actuary to influence and drive the profitable growth of our Property & Casualty (P&C;) division. In this strategic role, you’ll report directly to the Chief Actuary for Australia & New Zealand (A&NZ;), providing high-quality, timely actuarial advice to senior leaders, supporting operational teams, and helping shape the future of all P&C; lines and segments. You’ll lead pricing and portfolio reviews, oversee rating algorithms for digital and non-digital portfolios, and play a key part in our strategic pricing and portfolio management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert actuarial advice to the P&C; management team, Senior Actuaries, and Chief Actuary
- Guide and review pricing and portfolio strategies for key schemes and portfolios
- Provide actuarial input on rating algorithms and strategic pricing across all portfolios
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals
- Drive continuous improvement and support strategic development in line with local, regional, and global segmentation strategies
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with an organised and logical approach to complex issues, a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, and the initiative to work autonomously and drive positive change. Adaptability to shifting circumstances and a results-oriented mindset—focused on accountability, execution, and sustained improvement—are essential to succeed in this role.
- Up to 20 years' experience in General Insurance, with strong Pricing experience, particularly within the P&C; portfolio
- Robust business acumen and communication skills
- Advanced data analytics capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders on complex projects
