Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Senior E&I Project Engineer to join our Engineering Construction division, supporting the delivery of a major mining and minerals project in Western Australia. This is a key role on a large-scale project encompassing both SMP and E&I scopes, with a strong focus on E&I delivery. The position will initially be based in the Perth office commencing May/June, before transitioning to site mid/late August on a 2:1 roster. We are open to candidates based in any major Australian capital city. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering complex works for tier 1 clients across the resources sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of E&I work packs and oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of project scopes
Coordinate labour, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient and compliant project delivery
Provide technical leadership and guidance to supervisors and project teams
Monitor construction progress, track milestones, and ensure alignment with project schedules
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across E&I activities
Promote and enforce strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all HSE requirements
Ensure works are completed in accordance with quality assurance procedures, client specifications, and ISO standards
Manage subcontractors and support commercial aspects including cost control, forecasting, and change management
Support commissioning and handover activities as required
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in a Senior Project Engineer role with a strong E&I background in mining, minerals, or major infrastructure projects
Demonstrated capability in delivering E&I scopes on large-scale construction projects
Strong experience in planning, scheduling, work pack development, and progress reporting
Solid commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and change management
Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and site teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering
Strong knowledge of applicable Australian standards, quality systems (AS/NZS ISO 9001), and site-based construction practices
Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster
Valid right to work in Australia
