The Opportunity
We're seeking a trade‐qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Ballast Cleaning Team. All candidates must hold a recognised trade certificate.
In this role, you'll operate and maintain the Plasser RM900 Ballast Cleaner and MFS wagons, ensuring safe, efficient and high‐quality delivery of works across Pilbara rail networks.

What We're Looking For
* Mandatory trade qualification – you must hold a recognised trade certificate (Heavy Diesel Mechanic)
* Demonstrated experience operating and/or maintaining OTM and ballast cleaning equipment (Plasser RM900 / MFS wagons or similar)
* Strong capability in fault‐finding, diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical/electrical maintenance
* Proven ability to work safely and effectively in remote, high‐volume rail environments
* Team‐first attitude with a strong commitment to safety, quality and performance
* Willingness to work FIFO rosters, which may vary based on operational requirements
