Service Manager

Patriot Campers is looking for an experienced Service Manager to build, lead, and grow this critical function from the ground up.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on ownership — setting up systems, leading people, driving customer satisfaction, and growing a profitable, high-quality service operation aligned with a premium Australian brand.
About the Role
As Service Manager, you will take full responsibility for Patriot Campers' in-house service operation, overseeing workshop performance, customer support, warranty processes, reporting, and continuous improvement.
You will play a key role in rebuilding service capability after a dealer-managed model, while also identifying opportunities to grow service revenue, improve turnaround times, and strengthen long-term customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, job flow, and on-time completion of service, repair, and warranty work
* Champion outstanding customer service, managing customer enquiries, concerns, and escalations with professionalism and transparency
* Triage and manage all support enquiries to resolution using HubSpot CRM
* Manage service bookings via phone, email, and website enquiries
* Assist with technician scheduling, quoting, billing, and job costing
* Provide clear communication to customers and dealers regarding scope, costs, and timeframes
* Liaise with Patriot Campers OEM for technical support, parts, quotes, and warranty matters
* Oversee warranty compliance, labour recovery, productivity, and service margins
* Quote and invoice using the Blackpurl dealership management system
* Lead, coach, and develop Service Technicians and service staff, ensuring required certifications and a strong safety culture
* Drive continuous improvement using KPIs, reporting, and customer feedback
* Identify and develop opportunities to grow service throughput and service-related revenue
About You
* Proven experience as a Service Manager, Workshop Manager, or Aftersales Manager (automotive, RV, marine, or similar industry preferred)
* Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, gas, and warranty repair environments
* Demonstrated ability to build, improve, or scale service operations and processes
* Customer-first mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Confident leader who can coach teams and hold people accountable
* Strong organisational and commercial skills, with experience in reporting and performance management
* Experience using CRM systems and service or dealership management software (HubSpot highly regarded)
