The Opportunity
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support, and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
We're seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support the Australian Army CH-47F aircraft. You will be a key member of the team supporting the customer in optimising aircraft availability while ensuring continuing airworthiness of the aircraft under the Defence Airworthiness Safety Regulations (DASR).
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain the Configuration and Data Management plans, processes, and procedures, in accordance with DASR, business, and contractual requirements.
* Manage and maintain the product definition and design data, technical baselines, engineering changes, and current approved configuration in the configuration status accounting tool/s.
* Manage the content and accuracy of Configuration Status Accounting records for the platform.
* Administer, host, and perform the role of secretary for Configuration Control Boards.
* Prepare and participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required.
* Lead the continuous improvement of processes for efficiency in accordance with LEAN principles.
* Implement and maintain the controls necessary for data to meet security, trade control, and intellectual property requirements.
* Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform.
* Develop training on the programs configuration management systems and provide mentoring to the project team.
To be considered for the role, you will have:
* Demonstrated experience in Configuration Management.
* Formal Configuration Management training/certification;
* Experience in managing configuration of products in a Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar;
* Strong written and oral communication skills;
