Following a retirement we are looking for a hands‑on, reliable Facilities Officer to support the day‑to‑day operations of our Cambridge site. If you take pride in a well‑kept environment, enjoy practical work, and want a role where your contribution is visible every day, this is your opportunity.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the person who keeps our site safe, clean, functional, and welcoming. Your work will span:
Safety & Compliance
* Champion safe work practices and follow all company safety policies
* Use our incident management system to report and support safety improvements
Office & Building Support
* Assist with office maintenance and internal moves
* Help relocate desks, furniture, and equipment as needed
Maintenance, Grounds & Cleaning
* Carry out general repairs, touch‑ups, and preventative maintenance
* Monitor and reorder cleaning materials and tools
* Complete audits and cleaning inspections
* Maintain gardens, lawns, paths, and common areas to a high standard
* Operate equipment such as mowers and the street sweeper
Continuous Improvement & Other Duties
* Work to established procedures, manuals, and checklists
* Recommend improvements to processes and site upkeep
* Support small coordination tasks with maintenance or facilities staff
What you bring
* Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or facilities support (approx. 2+ years)
* Practical problem‑solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
* A proactive, reliable approach and pride in delivering high‑quality work
* Comfort working to established procedures and safety standards
