About the role
JW Marriott is currently looking for a Part-time Night Auditor, with a minimum of 5 days a week availability.
This role requires employees to work shifts between 11:00 pm - 07:30 am.
Critical responsibilities:
* Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date.
* Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
* Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
* Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency.
* Sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability.
* Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake up calls, and advise guest of any messages.
* Complete the Room Rate Variance Report
* Process all guest check-ins and assign room.
* Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine.
* Count bank at beginning and end of shift and secure bank.
* Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
* Clean and maintain public areas to include guest laundry, lobby and public bathrooms to the standards set by Marriott.
Successful Candidates will have:
* Excellent customer relations, problem solving and complaint handling skills.
* The ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
* Working knowledge of Opera and an understanding of point of sales systems such as Micros
* Previous experience in a hotel front office department desired
* Flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays, and 5 days availability.
