Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook dishes using fresh ingredients, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
* Follow established recipes and kitchen procedures to maintain flavour and standards
* Manage daily food preparation and service in a fast-paced restaurant environment
* Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene across all kitchen areas
* Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, and hygiene regulations at all times
* Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and reduce food wastage
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
* Support the Head Chef in maintaining kitchen efficiency and quality control
Skills and Experience Required
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
* Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
