About Helix Dentistry:
We are a world renowned first-of-its-kind functional dental medicine practice who is currently undergoing expansion to continue the revolution in the world of functional dentistry.
Our two modern designed & innovative dental practices are located in the beautiful coastal suburb of Long Jetty & Erina on the Central Coast of NSW. Only a 60 minute drive from Sydney & 40 minute drive from Newcastle. We have a patient base that spans Australia wide, with patients travelling interstate and internationally daily to receive our dental treatments.
Our staff are our family, and we have a cohesive and close-knit team.
Our practice is centered around cosmetic & airway focused dentistry, through functional approaches.
A large portion of our patient base are interstate travelling FIFO families, which provides diversity within the practice patient base.
About the role:
Upskill yourself to become a highly trained and knowledgeable preventative & restorative clinician to provide your patients with the optimal level of care! This role will allow you to grow personally and professionally in your career, and flourish in a long-term and stable position. Fully established books are provided with your own set of patients from the start.
At Helix Dentistry, our preventative dental clinicians are an integral part of our dental care model. Our hygiene department is the bread and butter of our practice, and we pride ourselves on fully utilising the skills and benefits of an oral health clinician.
Preventative & restorative paediatric areas of dentistry are deep seeded in our practice ethos, so therefore a flare and interest in these areas are crucial.
The day to day life of our oral health clinicians is a fast paced and varied one. You are not just doing the same thing day in day out, clean after clean. Here at our practice, our days of course include the standard preventative maintenance appointments.
But a day in the life of our oral health professionals may look like this: seeing patients who are undergoing treatment through our myofunctional programs, laser treatments, CEREC design, Paediatric restorative work, myofunctional therapy & Myobrace education, breathing retraining, Zoom/Skype appointments with our interstate families.
Excellent personal presentation and an outgoing personality are essential for this role. Candidates will be competent and have a high level of communication and treatment planning skills to ensure patients have confidence in your abilities. You should be passionate about providing high quality dentistry and interested in building long term relationships with a loyal patient base.
We are currently offering 2-3 days with the potential to increase days.

Candidate Requirements:
* Must appreciate good coffee, or tea if that's preferred!
* Available between working hours 9am - 6pm
* Radiation license
* Provide high quality patient care
* Have great communication skills & a soft bedside manner
* Confident in all aspects of general dentistry
* Experience with CEREC & CAD-CAM an advantage
* An interest in a functional approach to dentistry welcomed, with possible mentorship for the right candidate
* Teeth whitening training preferred
You will be joining a team with the full scope of Dental Practitioners including Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Oral Health Therapists & Orofacial Myologists with great support staff.
