This Federal Government organisation is seeking a property officer to join their experienced and skilled team.

Hays is currently partnered with a Federal Government agency to recruit an APS5 Property Officer on a temporary 12-month assignment with the potential to extend.
**Your new role**
You will work full time hours, with the flexibility to work from home on occasion. This role will be responsible for a portfolio of company office locations and will be required to independently perform procedural, administrative and operational tasks. The position is accountable for organising their own workload and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility that may include additional portfolios.
The Property Officer has a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of property matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries. There may be occasional requirements for travel and to increase efforts in order to meet tight operational deadlines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Engaging and monitoring third party facilities providers for all preventative maintenance schedules and property repairs for their portfolio of company locations.
- Responding to property related enquiries and issues from staff members.
- Assisting with branch seating allocation activities.
- Monitoring levels of stationery and consumables within a portfolio of company locations and ensuring sufficient stocks are ordered and delivered to sites.
- Developing and maintaining carpark ballots.
- Working collaboratively with other enabling services to ensure positive outcomes for staff.
- Assisting and supporting the Fleet team by acting as a Vehicle Control Officer where applicable.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Ability to maintain accurate records in a confidential environment
- Proficient skill with Microsoft Suite of programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and self-manage workloads
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field would be highly desirable.
