Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
* Own mechanical design and delivery osubsystems from concept through manufacturing release * Produce 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and supporting calculations. * Own manufacturability and production readiness of assigned subsystems, ensuring designs are robust in real-world manufacturing environments * Utilise manufacturing experience for continuous improvement of design standards, manufacturability, and cost. * Lead rapid resolution of design issues arising from manufacturing and supplier feedback to maintain delivery momentum * Own engineering interface with international suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and progress toward delivery * Guide and review work from junior engineers to ensure quality and delivery of assigned work * Champion professional standards of engineering integrity, safety, and sustainability within the team.Required Experience * Degree Qualified (Mechanical/Structural/Marine) * 5-10 years hands-on experience designing mechanical systems in a production environment * Proven ability to deliver designs from concept to production in marine, wind, offshore or similar environments * Proficiency in Siemens NX, Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD) * Experience working with fabrication, welding, or large structural assemblies. * Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles. * Proven experience driving cost-reductions to achieve targets.Comfortable working in highly dynamic environments with significant accountability
