We're excited to welcome a Nurse Unit Manager to Inpatient Unit - 4FW, Nambour General Hospital.
Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation. We are committed to the maintenance of a culture in which we treat our colleagues with respect as we do our patients, consumers and the community. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.
4FW is a 24-bed General Medical Unit, including four negative pressure rooms, dedicated to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care. The unit manages patients with complex, multi-system conditions as well as single-system diseases. Nursing staff collaborate closely with medical and allied health teams to provide safe, effective, and efficient care in a professional and compassionate manner, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients and their families. A key focus of the service is the provision of high-quality care for General Medical patients with complex needs, particularly those related to age and frailty.
4FW conducts an Eat Walk Engage (EWE) program, a comprehensive multidisciplinary delirium prevention program that improves the outcomes and care experience of patients over 65. Key principles of the program aim to prevent delirium, improve mobility and reduce functional decline, reduce length of stay and increase discharge back home. EWE is a structured program with a Hospital Facilitator and a clinical assistant on the unit five mornings per week.

* This position requires you to adhere to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Sunshine Coast Health Safe Care Framework, which has been developed in collaboration with staff, consumers and key stakeholders to enable our vision of health and wellbeing through person-centred care.
