About the Role – Casual Chef / Cook
You'll work alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver high-quality pub classics and modern Australian dishes for locals and visitors to the Clare Valley.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and cooking meals to a consistent, high standard
* Working across service periods, including lunch and dinner
* Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
* Managing prep, portion control, and minimising food waste
* Contributing positively to a busy, team-focused kitchen environment
About You
You're reliable, positive, and confident working in a commercial kitchen.
We're looking for someone who has:
* Experience as a Cook, Commis Chef, or Chef de Partie (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential)
* Strong food safety and allergen awareness
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Calm, organised approach during busy services
* Genuine passion for quality food and customer experience
Availability Requirements
* Flexible availability across a rotating 7-day roster
* Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
