Job Title: Professional Growth and Education Manager
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to take on the role of Learning and Development Manager at St Vincent's and St Luke's Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating learning strategies for both nursing and support staff. They will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to identify education and training needs that align with the hospital's Clinical Services Plan and national standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify specific learning requirements for each department through annual education needs analysis.
* Ensure educational activities are tailored to meet the needs and expectations of customers.
* Maintain current knowledge of nursing and healthcare best practices.
* Coordinate the development of evidence-based educational activities to meet quality initiatives.
* Participate in the management of the education team to achieve budget targets.
* Provide training and education to ensure staff compliance with mandatory training requirements.
Requirements
* AHPRA registration and current practicing certificate.
* Postgraduate qualification in education.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Experience in leadership roles.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices.
* Good computer literacy and ability to run reports.
