The Shared Services Finance Operations team delivers critical functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, debt management and business intelligence. The team are experts in their field providing a customer focused business area that works collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to deliver integrated finance service operations on behalf of the Territory. We are looking for a talented, capable, and driven Senior Finance Officer to supervise a small team within our fast-paced Finance Operations environment. In this hands-on role, you will coordinate and oversee a range of financial support services and processing functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service delivery. You will supervise finance officers and engage in the delivery of finance functions, contributing to activities such as: Invoice processing Payment receipting Bank reconciliations Data analysis Responding to internal and external queries Ensuring compliance with procedures and guidelines Monitoring performance measures Upholding high quality customer service principles, practices & behaviours This opportunity is ideal for someone who can demonstrate capability in finance operations and team supervision. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Previous experience in a finance operations environment would be highly regarded. Experience working with finance systems, in particular Oracle, is highly desirable. A current ACT Government CMTEDD issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) is required for this position, or the ability to obtain and maintain one. Notes: This is a temporary position available from 02 January 2026 until 01 January 2027 with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
