Transform Mental Healthcare with Us

At The Talbot Centre, we are not just part of the healthcare system—we are here to transform it. We believe every person deserves to know their worth, feel a sense of belonging, and be supported to grow into their full potential. Our mission is to challenge the status quo and pioneer a new kind of person-centred care—one that is deeply human, accessible, and empowering. We are reimagining healthcare, breaking down barriers, and creating real change for individuals, families, and communities.

If you're driven by purpose and want to be part of something bigger, this is where you belong.

Be Part of a Movement, Not Just a Workplace: Our Approach to HealthCare

At The Talbot Centre, we are focused on providing holistic, inclusive, and affirming care to individuals with a range of complex mental health needs. Our niche areas of focus include:

* Eating and feeding disorders
* Obsessive-compulsive and related disorders
* Trauma and complex presentations
* Anxiety presentations
* Child and family mental health
* Supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, including neurodivergent folk and Christian clients seeking faith-aligned care

We integrate relational approaches—such as schema therapy, attachment-based interventions, and psychodynamic principles—with skills-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, and DBT. This allows us to support clients in understanding and transforming underlying patterns while equipping them with practical tools to navigate challenges. If this balanced, integrative approach resonates with you, we'd love to hear from you.

Our multidisciplinary team provides collaborative, whole-person care that adapts to the needs of each individual. We are committed to reducing stigma, challenging outdated treatment models, and fostering autonomy in recovery and mental well-being. Our approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, fat-positive and culturally responsive, ensuring every client feels seen, heard, and supported. We value lived experience perspectives alongside research and clinical expertise, ensuring our work is both evidence-based and deeply human.

If you are passionate about delivering meaningful care in an environment that values innovation and inclusivity, we'd love to hear from you.

Build Your Career, Your Way

Here's what some of our grads have said about their experience:

"As a graduate psychologist, the Talbot Centre graduate clinical registrar program is more than I could have hoped for in a job… This program is very unusual in the field of psychology, where graduate psychologists often go into their first job with little if any support. Private practice can often be very isolating for psychologists; however at the Talbot Centre I am surrounded by a wonderful team of warm, like-minded clinicians. The Talbot Centre clinical graduate program is a shining example of how the mental health industry can support graduate psychologists to be the best therapists they can be." - Graduate 1

"While the Master of Clinical Psychology program provided me with sound clinical and theoretical knowledge… I feel that it is a really big leap from this to full time work in the field and managing a full case load and all of the organisational aspects that come with that. The graduate positions at The Talbot Centre are important because you receive support and guidance in those early stages knowing what is required for the registrar program… It provides allocated time for leaning and development which is vitally important in these early career stages, particularly with the abundance of new clients and new presentations. Individual and group supervision with practitioners within the same setting so they understand the processes of the clinic, as opposed to having to organise an external supervisor who is unaware of the practice setting. Working with a team, many of which are early career psychologists, who are at a similar stage of learning. Additionally, receiving guidance on how to make clinical practice effective." - Graduate 2
