About the role
We have a full‐time opportunity for a Sales Specialist looking after our Darling Downs area. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract working Monday to Friday with some Saturdays required when community events are organised. This role includes regular travel across Toowoomba and rural Darling Downs region for partner visits and on‐site events. You'll be part of a geographically based, cross‐functional community team focused on building stronger connections, deepening trust, and supporting members end‐to‐end.
Responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with local organisations, partners, and community groups.
* Grow Medibank's presence through events, activations, and partner visits.
* Manage a pipeline of business development and self‐generated growth opportunities.
* Identify opportunities to acquire and retain members through tailored conversations.
* Share local insights to guide partnership opportunities and community health needs.
* Role‐model accountability, flexibility, and needs‐based customer conversations.
* Work across various environments — store, home, partner sites, and community locations.
Qualifications
* Enjoy building relationships and connecting with diverse groups.
* Have experience in sales, business development, partnerships, customer service, or community engagement.
* Are proactive, organised, and confident managing your own pipeline of activity.
