About our Graduate Mechanical Engineer role
Job Description
We invite recent or soon-to-be graduates to join us in our 2026 Graduate Program as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. This immersive, hands-on program provides practical learning through fundamental tasks and meaningful work.
Our Graduate Mechanical Engineer will gain hands-on experience in project management, lead and coordinate projects effectively, explore maintenance and life cycle projects with a focus on reliability enhancement, particularly in relation to bearings.
They will also have the opportunity to dive deep into the world of hydraulics and hydraulic systems, engage with diverse and intriguing tasks spanning various mechanical engineering areas.
This is a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent placement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A genuine passion for Mechanical within the operational context of steel manufacturing and distribution.
* Australian/NZ citizenship or a visa granting unlimited working rights.
* Completion of an Australian tertiary degree within the past three years (or set to conclude in 2025) in Mechanical, mechatronics, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar.
* Less than two years of full-time, discipline-specific work experience.
