We are seeking experienced Senior Leaders and/or Board Directors for critical roles.

About The Role
You will help shape the future of Barkuma; playing a critical role in providing strategic direction, performance oversight and guidance to management as well as acting as custodian of the culture and values.
* Key Competencies:
* Knowledge of a Director's responsibilities - an understanding of the legal, ethical, fiduciary and financial responsibilities of a Director.
* Strategic capacity - the ability to review the strategy through constructive questioning and suggestion and contribute to the effective decision-making of the Board.
* Financial literacy - the ability to read financial material presented to the Board and monitor the company's financial position.
* Compliance - oversee compliance with relevant laws and guidelines related to an employer, a registered charity, and a registered NDIS provider.
* Risk Management - experience in identifying and mitigating areas of major risk management.
* People management and achieving change - experience in current management thinking on employment, branding, engagement, and stakeholder communication.
* Industry knowledge - understanding of industries/sectors relevant to a disability service provision and not-for-profit status.
* Organisational values and culture - be a culture custodian of Barkuma, which includes promoting and monitoring the tone of the organisation and its culture.
