About This Opportunity
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Raw Materials Manager to join our Industrial team in Longwarry. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the management of inventory levels, to ensure full supply of raw materials to the site.
Critical to the role is ensuring the effectiveness of raw material control parameters through identifying, controlling and reducing losses and industrial variability. Key to the role is the continuous improvement of raw material management controls.
About You
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong ability to problem solve and good analytical ability;
* Sense of urgency with the ability to prioritise and respond promptly to meet production requirements including managing external customers;
* Previous experience in SAP is highly regarded.
Your Duties
More specifically, your duties will include (but not limited to):
* Reduce material losses and industrial variability in the plant;
* Lead continuous improvement within the process environment;
* To build and work on reliable mass balance and yield reports;
* Continual review of stocks & levels to reduce working capital;
* Ensure products are ordered according to the specification required & delivered in time to meet production schedules at the best price;
* Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure stock levels are adequate to cover production requirements;
* Assist in inventory control, stock balances and reconciliation on Raw Ingredients & Packaging at timely intervals in SAP;
* Reporting anomalies in stock or other problems that could disrupt the smooth running of the operation.
The successful applicant must be pro-active, have highly developed organisational and time management skills as well as a demonstrated ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
