Role Overview:
We are seeking a female Disability Support Worker with proven experience in personal care and the safe use of manual handling equipment to join our team. You will provide respectful, person-centred support to clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety while assisting with mobility and transfers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and toileting assistance.
* Safely perform manual handling tasks, including transfers and repositioning, using equipment such as hoists, slide sheets, transfer belts, and standing aids.
* Conduct pre-use safety checks on manual handling equipment to ensure safe operation.
* Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding, and medication prompts (as required).
* Support clients in community access, social activities, and appointments.
* Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of support provided.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in personal care and competent use of manual handling equipment.
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (highly regarded).
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 24 per week
