What you’ll be doing
The project support graduate helps ensure Queensland Government projects are well managed to deliver outcomes on time and within budget. Responsibilities include supporting the project management team through planning, documenting, monitoring, reporting, configuration management, change control, and supporting project board meetings.
Responsibilities
* Contributing to project planning and reporting
* Helping apply the department’s project management methodology
* Preparing reports, presentations, briefs, and correspondence
* Tracking project progress, including updating Gantt charts
* Assisting with development of project management communications and training materials
Ideal candidates
* Good communication, interpersonal, and liaison skills; ability to work well in a team
* Analysis and problem-solving skills
* Practical ability with MS Office and MS Project (desirable)
Technical skills and qualifications
Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or PMBOK. Understanding of project reporting, scheduling, coordination, and risk management.
Your degree may be in information technology, information management, engineering, business, commerce, or accounting.

For overseas qualifications, recognition in Australia is required prior to applying. Relocation to Brisbane is mandatory for interstate applicants, who must cover their moving costs. The start date is February 2026 or sooner if requested.
