Altus Group is currently accepting applications for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join our Development Advisory team in Brisbane, Australia.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Development Advisory, the Quantity Surveyor is passionate about helping clients manage their construction costs. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in ensuring financial efficiency through the various stages of construction. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team with a core focus in the Public Health Sector with a steady stream of small to large variety of projects across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed cost analyses, estimates, cost plans and feasibility studies for construction projects.
2. Completion of full trade and elemental take-off;
3. Measuring quantities for variations and managing risks in relation to changes;
4. Undertake site visit and complete valuations of work complete on site;
5. Prepare cash flows;
6. Managing client relations and assist in establishing a client's requirements;
7. Provide expert advice on cost-effective construction methods and materials.
8. Undertake cost analysis and feasibility studies.
Key Qualifications:
* Expertise and accreditation in Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
* 2 - 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience
* Membership in an approved Professional Body (eg. AIQS, RICS, CIOB);
* Knowledge of the local construction industry including development, contracting and consulting sectors;
* Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
* Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
