The Department of Treasury and Finance provides economic, financial and resource management advice to help the Victorian Government deliver its policies.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a small team to deliver timely, accurate, accessible and fit-for-purpose advice on energy, environment, climate change and natural resources issues for senior management and government;
* Manage projects to inform policy development;
* Collaborate within and outside the team on economic, financial and/or public policy projects;
* Manage and influence internal and external stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues;
* Foster a positive, collaborative and inclusive team culture;
* Provide mentoring and development support for team members.
About You
We are seeking applications from candidates with demonstrable experience in:
* A strong understanding of the role and influence of State government in policy making;
* Influence – extensive experience in building relationships, shaping stakeholders' views and supporting informed decision-making on complex issues;
* Conceptual and problem-solving skills – demonstrated capacity to solve complex and ambiguous problems;
* Experience using economic frameworks and tools for policy advice would be advantageous;
* Communication – excellent communication skills including conveying complex issues persuasively to senior executives in plain language;
* Leadership and management – demonstrated experience leading and developing others to pursue common goals.
