About the role
Southeast stone is seeking experienced Stonemasons to join our team based in Caloundra West, Queensland. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting construction projects in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What you'll be doing
* Cutting, shaping, and finishing stone materials such as man made-stone and natural stone
* Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and other technical specifications to ensure accurate stone fabrication and installation
* Utilising specialised tools and equipment to produce high-quality stone finishes
* Collaborating with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of stone elements into construction projects
* Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in stonemasonry or a related building trade
* Minimum 2-3 years of practical experience as a stonemason, working on a variety of construction projects
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the role
* A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to safety
