The Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Business Partner will be part of the People & Culture team and plays a critical part in supporting leaders to build strong safety capability and manage risk effectively.
Partnering closely with leaders and operational teams, you will provide expert advice on OH&S, psychosocial safety, injury management and emergency management, while driving continuous improvement in systems, governance and safety culture. You will balance legislative compliance with operational realities and contribute to broader organisational capability and workforce wellbeing.
You will:
* Partner with leaders to embed effective OH&S, psychosocial safety and wellbeing practices
* Provide clear, practical advice on OH&S legislation, governance and risk management
* Support and continuously improve relevant policies, procedures and frameworks
* Analyse OH&S injury and incident data and provide insights to support decision‐making
* Lead and oversee injury management, WorkCover and return‐to‐work processes
* Design and deliver proactive safety and wellbeing initiatives and capability‐building activities
* Provide proactive and expert oversight of emergency management arrangements across the organisation
* Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including training, drills and exercises
* Review incidents, emergencies and exercises to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities
* Coordinate and manage OH&S and emergency‐related meetings, including agendas, reporting and action tracking

You are a proactive, collaborative, solutions‐focused professional who builds trust quickly and influences through practical advice.
You bring:
* Significant experience in a Health, Safety and Wellbeing or OH&S function
* Strong knowledge of Victorian OH&S legislation and its practical application
* Experience coaching and supporting leaders to manage risk and build OH&S capability
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful actions
* A pragmatic, commercially aware approach to safety and wellbeing
* Highly developed communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in health or community services (desirable)
The fine print
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC.
