Responsibilities
* Partner with Heads of Department, Producers, and Supervisors to allocate the best internal talent to VFX projects, optimize crew assignments across multiple shows, manage multi‑site communication with other global divisions to assist the Head of Resourcing, and ensure unallocated crew can be utilized.
* Support the Head of Department in building balanced project teams, considering expertise, experience, and budget, allocating and planning for upcoming project demands, induction, and staff development.
* Identify hiring needs, advise on remuneration, and collaborate with the recruitment team to bring in the right talent.
* Serve as the main point of contact between the department and show production teams regarding the progress of the work, maintaining ongoing communication with show coordinators and line producers regarding resource availability and shifting priorities.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment, promoting high morale through regular team check‑ins, social events, and team‑building activities. Advise on contractual matters, project assignments, development, and training, proactively addressing concerns and supporting wellbeing.
* Create a culture of feedback alongside the Head of Department, offering transparency and developmental opportunities, partnering with the training team to ensure crew members’ learning and growth needs are met, engaging in pay negotiations and maintaining pay parity within our teams.
* Lead department meetings, maintain scheduling targets, and contribute to process improvements to ensure smooth interdepartmental workflow and consistent communication.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven scheduling and resourcing experience in a Production or VFX environment.
* Strong problem‑solving and effective allocation of people and resources.
* Excellent cross‑department collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
* Experience with HR related tasks, building strong teams with the right culture.
* Comfortable with MS Office and/or Google Suite.
* Effective communicator at all levels, with the ability to build good relationships.
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring all documents and reports are maintained at the highest level.
* Calm under pressure, reliable, and always a few steps ahead.
* Highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities.
* Trustworthy and professional, getting things done with discretion and care.
