About The Role
This leadership role is for a fixed term until 2 May 2027 and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Marketing and Communications team, delivering strategic, integrated campaigns and high-quality community engagement initiatives. You'll oversee media and public relations, digital and social channels, and ensure communications align with Council priorities and policies. Working across the organisation, you'll drive innovation, manage projects and budgets, and use data insights to improve performance. You'll also build strong stakeholder relationships, support strategic planning, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement.
About You
You are an experienced marketing and communications professional with relevant tertiary qualifications and a strong background in leadership and team development. You bring proven experience delivering integrated campaigns, managing media and public relations, and engaging effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders across government and industry. With excellent communication and analytical skills, you can translate data into meaningful insights and improved outcomes. You're confident leading teams, managing performance, and navigating policy and legislative requirements, while building strong partnerships and driving collaborative, high-quality results.
