Probity Officer

At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

* Multiple Temporary Full-Time positions, 6-months with the possibility of extension
* Located in Parramatta offering flexible working arrangements with mandatory office presence for business requirements as required
* Clerk Grade 3/4 - $84,659 to $92,701 plus superannuation and leave loading

About the role

As a Probity Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department's commitment to child safety and integrity by ensuring the workforce remains compliant with employment screening requirements. This includes delivering high-volume pre-employment checks and ongoing screening services for staff, contractors, and volunteers. You will also:

* Accurately and efficiently manage high-volume of HR compliance services
* Respond to enquiries in a contact-centre like environment and escalate complex issues in a timely and professional manner
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with Department policies

About you

We're looking for an individual who demonstrates:

Knowledge and Experience

* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* Holds a Working With Children Check for paid employment
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
