Senior Product Developer/ Women's Apparel
The Role
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Product Developer to take full ownership of product development from concept through to bulk production across ready-to-wear and accessories.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who can independently drive the entire development process translating creative direction into commercially viable, production-ready product with precision, structure, and strong technical judgement.
You will work closely with the Founder/Creative Director and COO, however this role requires someone who can operate autonomously, make informed decisions, and move product forward without requiring constant direction.
What You'll Do
* Lead product development end-to-end from concept through to bulk production
* Manage sampling, fittings, and garment refinement
* Develop and oversee tech packs, specifications, and grading
* Work directly with local and international makers and suppliers
* Source and refine fabrics, trims, and finishes in line with brand standards
* Ensure product is delivered to a high standard across fit, quality, and timeline
* Identify and solve production challenges with a commercial and technical mindset
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in premium or luxury apparel product development
* Strong technical knowledge across garments, fabrics, trims, and construction
* Ability to manage development processes independently without close supervision
* Confident working directly with makers and suppliers
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially minded
* Comfortable working in a lean environment where quality, precision, and ownership are prioritised over volume
This Role Is Not Suited To
* Junior coordinators or assistants
* Pure design-focused candidates without technical development experience
* Individuals who require close supervision to manage development processes
Structure
You will be supported by an admin/operations team member for coordination tasks, however this role retains full ownership and accountability for product development end-to-end.
Engagement
* Approx. 2–4 days per week equivalent
* Increased involvement during key development phases (sampling, fittings, pre-production)
