Health Centre Nurse Manager
The Health Centre at Prince Alfred College delivers premium nursing care, health education, and wellness initiatives to students and staff. As the Nurse Manager, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality healthcare services across the campus.
* Lead the school nursing team in performance management, rostering, and professional development.
* Coordinate primary nursing care for students and staff, ensuring timely interventions and referrals when necessary.
* Develop and implement tailored healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions, collaborating with medical professionals as required.
* Manage vaccination programs and medication administration, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
* Liaise with parents, guardians, and medical professionals regarding student health, providing regular updates and progress reports.
* Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, contributing to risk management strategies to prevent workplace accidents.
* Maintain accurate health records, manage operational budgets, and support health education initiatives for staff.
The ideal candidate is a skilled and empathetic healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They will possess current nursing registration, First Aid qualifications, and experience in paediatric or adolescent nursing, preferably within an educational setting.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday during school term time, and part of the school holidays (as negotiated). Some weekend work may be required on occasions.
