Welder role available to join our SQS teams with potential assignment across NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, or WA.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks at hand
- Perform fabrication and repair works on various metal structures and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Work with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, and other alloys
- Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines
- Perform appropriate types of weld based on project needs and specifications
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Ensure fabrication and repairs are carried out using proper safety guidelines to ensure rework jobs do not occur
- Use a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets standard specifications
- Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
- Follow and enforce strict safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
Requirements
- Trade certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent
- Proficient in performing all welding, gouging, cutting, or other duties
- Post-trade experience in the same field
- Proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of an outstanding team to deliver excellence for our clients
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Experience working with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys
- Familiarity with a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
- Robust communication and reporting skills
- Self-motivated, organized, punctual, and reliable
- Must have great work ethics

Salary: Between $80,000 and $90,000 per annum + Super
