The Location and Lifestyle:
Mt Carbine has a rich history of tungsten production and is strategically and conveniently located only 75 kms from the beautiful seaside town of Port Douglas in Far North Queensland where the Daintree Forest meets the Great Barrier Reef. The Mt Carbine Tungsten mine is 120km North of Cairns International Airport via sealed highway. Neighbouring the Mt Carbine township on the Mulligan Highway, The Mt Carbine Tungsten Mine is central to Mossman, Port Douglas, Mareeba, Julatten and Mt Molloy. For those with families, there is a choice of private and public schools, as well as universities and technical education facilities in the area.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking experienced, safety-focused Bus Drivers to join our operations team at the Mt Carbine Tungsten Mine. This role demands a proactive attitude and the physical capability to perform duties in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate buses to transport personnel to and from the mine site
* Perform daily pre-start inspections and carry out routine maintenance to ensure the buses are in optimal working condition; Report any defects to site Maintenance promptly to avoid downtime and unsafe operations
* Ensure OEM service intervals are met and attended as required (vehicle/engine & tyres)
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the buses at all times
* Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and practices
* Exemplify and promote EQ Resources' company values in all aspects of the role
Key Selection Criteria:
* Proven experience driving 20-seater passenger buses
* Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
* Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
* Reliable and highly organised with strong time management
* Adaptable with a "can-do" attitude
Licences and Certifications
* Drivers License - C Class (Essential)
* Queensland Light Rigid (LR) (Essential):
* 22-seater Toyota Coaster bus
* GVM between 4.5T and 8T

* The ability to pass a pre-employment medical
