About Us
Hosting over a million visitors annually, Southport Sharks is one of the largest clubs in Queensland with over 55,000 members. About The Role
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced chefs with skills in both catering operations and a la carte restaurant experience for day and night shifts. Working a rotating roster within a tight‐knit team, you'll be working alongside chefs with years of knowledge to further develop your skillset.
Key Responsibilities
* Work in a busy venue with a highly skilled team
* Maintain a sharp attention to detail
* Maintain high standards with general kitchen practices
* Assist other chefs in the kitchen and be able to run your own section if required
* Ensure that food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes and standards
About You
As someone with previous experience in the hospitality industry, you possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service, willingness to build long‐term relationships with our members, and impeccable grooming, presentation and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
* Qualified with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery
* Flexibility to work a rotating 7‐day roster, with shifts varying between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm
* Passion for your trade is a must
* Ability to maintain composure and consistently deliver a high quality of service in a fast‐paced kitchen
* Well‐organised and time‐management skills
* Punctual and reliable team playerEye for detail and ability to work under pressure
* Work with minimal supervision and be a great team player
* Driven to succeed and to progress
