Salary : $70,000 - $90,000 a year Award-winning Mercure Gerringong Resort is situated in the seaside village of Gerringong on the NSW South Coast, providing fantastic cuisine and some of Australia’s best wine at Bella Char Restaurant and Wine Bar. For inspiring conferences, gorgeous weddings and unforgettable special occasions, the resort’s state-of-the-art venues can accommodate groups of up to 180 guests with experienced event designers and caterers to handle every detail.
Mercure Gerringong Resort is currently looking for hardworking and dedicated Head Chef to join their team. Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities: Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality
Manage daily production planning Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering Costing and control kitchen operations
Control and direct the food preparation process Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
To be considered for the position you must posses the following: At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar relevant qualification
Excellent cooking skills and overall technical expertise Excellent leadership skills Effective communication skills
