The Culinary and Nutritional Service Associate I or II plays a vital role in all culinary functions, adhering to company standards and federal, state, and local regulations to ensure high-quality nutritional services are consistently delivered and that culinary operations maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management (75%)
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks that are not only delicious but also visually appealing, providing residents with an outstanding dining experience.
Assist in serving meals as needed, deliver food carts and trays to designated areas, and work in serveries.
Serve food according to established portion control procedures.
Maintain culinary work areas and equipment in a spotless, sanitary, and safe condition, assisting with daily or scheduled cleaning duties, including cleaning work stations, counters, refrigerators/freezers, sweeping, mopping floors, washing dishes, and proper storage of clean items.
Support the planning and execution of special events.
Distribute, collect, and count menus as necessary.
Quality and Compliance Management (10%)
Ensure adherence to quality assurance, infection control, and universal precautions during departmental procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
Share observations and insights that may enhance departmental quality and efficiency.
Attend all scheduled employee and departmental meetings and in-service trainings.
Customer Relations and Service Delivery (10%)
Respond to the needs of residents and staff, ensuring residents and visitors feel welcome and comfortable.
Administration and Reporting (5%)
Maintain accurate records using computers or other documentation methods in compliance with standards and regulations.

Requirements
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
Familiarity with food service is a plus, but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Other Requirements
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
