The JDFPG located in Alice Springs, NT is seeking an energetic, highly organized and task-oriented Corporate Officer to be part of a diverse and collaborative team supporting Government of Australia staff who work day and shift work. You will be part of a small multi-agency multi-national team focusing on support to staff and senior management.
JDFPG is a central element of Australia’s intelligence relationship with the United States of America, and makes a vital contribution to the Defence and national interests of both countries, and to the broader Five-Eyes partnership. The multi-national, multi-agency environment supports high-end intelligence collaboration, innovation and development of advanced capabilities to address emerging global security threats.
About the Role
The Corporate Support Team at JDFPG, Alice Springs is seeking an ASD 5 applicant to fill an Administration Officer position. Commencement would be as soon as possible after appointment into the position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering support to Government of Australia personnel within JDFPG. Support includes, but is not limited to, relocation assistance to staff, position movements, workforce planning, recruitment, policy advice and consultation, develop, implement and maintain new business procedures.
This vacant term transfer position is located at the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap in Alice Springs, NT for a minimum two year posting (with possible extension offers at delegate discretion) to then return to an ASD at level position (based at an interstate ASD office) at the end of term transfer.
Note: this is a Monday to Friday day position (not shift work).

The key duties of the position include:
The role will require strong administrative skillsets and ability to work independently. It also requires the candidate to be receptive to change and have ability to adapt to multiple tasks and prioritise workloads. The ideal candidate for this position will have:

* Demonstrate attention to detail, with the ability to take responsibility for own actions and accurate completion of work
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and triage effectively while still ensuring key targets are met
* The ability to provide trusted professional and technical advice, review and provide strategic advice on a range of policies
* The ability to provide staff with advice and support and engage in a range of activities to support various visits to the Facility.
Eligibility
Citizenship - To be eligible for employment with ASD, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
Health Assessment - The preferred applicant may be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the Agency’s preferred medical provider.
Organisational Suitability Assessment – To be eligible for employment within ASD, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (see Organisational Assessment section).
Security Clearance - The preferred applicant will be required to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at a specified clearance level. The preferred applicant MUST be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
It is a condition of employment that applicants are willing and able to obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance for the duration of their employment with ASD.

The following skills and experience are highly desirable:
* Tertiary qualifications, industry certification or equivalent experience in human resources or a discipline related to the role.
The preferred applicant will require a Top Secret Positive Vetting clearance.
