Medical Receptionist
We are currently looking for applications from experienced Medical Receptionists to join our team in Subiaco on a permanent part-time basis.
Our Reception team are highly valued as they are the front line of our service to patients and set the mood for the patient's experience. They are also the voice of our Practice on the phone.
You will have the skills to create a professional and caring impression on every occasion, whether in person or over the phone. You will have a desire to do your job well in a fast paced environment.
Our team includes 5 General Practitioners, 2 Registered Nurse, Dietician and Audiologist. The surgery is open 8am - 6pm Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm Friday, Saturday pm. On-site Pathology Monday - Friday.
There will also be opportunities to cover other shifts so flexibility is helpful.

Duties and Responsibilities will include
* Welcoming patients to the practice
* Answering and making phone calls in a fast paced environment
* Manage the online appointment book
* Process payments, perform banking duties and Medicare claiming
* Send and receive electronic correspondence
* Basic triage of patients to assess wellness, infection control and urgency of appointment
* Light cleaning at the end of a shift.
* Preparing doctors and nurses rooms for the day
To succeed in this role, you will have
* Experience in Medical Reception
* Excellent communication skills
* IT proficiency - all patient records are computer based
* Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* Be familiar with GP Medicare item numbers
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to accept and adapt to change in a positive and constructive manner
* Ability to work without supervision
* Support and participate in ongoing job related learning and development
* Strong, proven ability to multi-task and experience working in a fast paced environment
