With four tank farms across Australia and continued growth underway, we are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Melbourne Airport operations and help ensure our critical infrastructure remains safe, compliant and fully operational in a 24/7 aviation environment.
Our facilities include refuelling systems, tank farms and hydrant infrastructure that support daily aircraft operations. This is a safety-critical role where precision, accountability and proactive maintenance are essential.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working alongside an experienced Senior Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving plant and infrastructure across the Melbourne site.
Key responsibilities include:
* Diagnosing and rectifying plant and equipment faults
* Performing routine, corrective and preventative maintenance on tank farm and hydrant systems
* Maintaining infrastructure across the tank farm, hydrant pits, apron areas and external locations
* Responding to breakdowns in a timely and solution-focused manner
* Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, safety standards and regulatory requirements
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
* Ensuring proper use, care and storage of tools and specialised equipment
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
* Participating in toolbox talks and operational planning sessions
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with operational teams.
What you bring
* Trade qualification (Maintenance Fitter or similar preferred)
* Mechanical skills, experience and/ qualification
* Maintenance experience in aviation, fuel, industrial or heavy mechanical environments
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
* A proactive, safety-first mindset
* Ability to follow structured procedures in a safety-critical environment
* High personal accountability and reliability
* Plant operations and maintenance experience highly desirable

Requirements
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC)
* Ability to participate in occasional call-outs and overtime as required
Work hours
Monday to Friday 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
