Internal applications are invited to fill an ASIC3 Business Analyst position within the Data & Systems Integrity team. The role offered is permanent and based in Traralgon, VIC.
The Team
ASIC administers more than 30 legal registers. The two largest, the Companies and Business Names registers contain the details over more than 3.2 million companies and 2.7 million business names. These registers are the official source of information about business names, companies, and other professionals, registered or licensed to operate in the Australian economy. The users of the ASIC Registry come from every corner of the Australian economy. They include small and large businesses, industry professionals, government, and the public. Users come to the ASIC Registry with specific goals in mind: to start up a company or register a business name, to update their address or other details, to cancel their registration or to search for public information. When users need assistance to complete a registration or keep their information on the registers up to date, we're ready to help.
As an ASIC3 Business Analyst, you will be:
* Manage external compliance matters in line with ASIC governance and respond to customer enquiries
* Act as an escalation point for staff and customer issues related to Registry systems
* Support development and enhancement of Registry products by reviewing business requirements and offering recommendations
* Research complex policies and processes related to Registry services
* Communicate service and product issues with proposed solutions
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and client needs
* Draft and implement strategic and policy recommendations
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives for greater efficiency
* Conduct user acceptance and product testing, including outside standard hours when required
About you:
* Experience in business analysis, project management and working in a team environment
* Ability to analyse and understand business requirements, solve complex issues and write policy and procedure documents
* Experience working with stakeholders to understand work priorities, respond to queries, and support change initiatives
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment
* Experience in user acceptance testing, documenting business requirements and processes
