Darwin-based manufacturer looking for a hands-on operations contractor to come in and drive cost-out across the business. Labour, materials, procurement, rework, overtime — the usual suspects.
This is not a consulting gig. I need a doer. Someone who walks the floor, talks to supervisors, chases suppliers, and pushes changes through to done. You'll report directly to the MD.
You're right for this if you've
* Run or supervised production in heavy manufacturing
* Driven a cost-out program before and can point to real savings
* Got the personality to push change through on your own
* You'll also build and run the weekly reporting — plan attainment, revenue, costs, labour
* Live in Darwin or can relocate for the contract
Not right if you
* Want to run workshops and build decks
* Need a big team around you
* Have only worked in head office

3–6 month contract, full-time on-site. Day rate negotiable.
