About the Role
We are looking for a commercially minded operational leader to become the driving force behind a growing professional services firm. Someone who can work alongside the Partners as a true second in command and help shape the next phase of growth.
You will be the person who brings structure to complexity, drives accountability across teams, improves performance firm‑wide, and ensures the business operates at a high level every day. This role sits at the centre of the firm, connecting leadership vision with execution.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Leading the day‑to‑day operations across multiple business units
* Driving structure, alignment, and accountability across teams
* Improving systems, workflows, and operational efficiency
* Implementing meaningful reporting around WIP, team performance, turnaround times, profitability, and resourcing
* Identifying bottlenecks and creating scalable solutions
* Supporting and mentoring managers and team leaders
* Translating Partner vision into execution across the business
* Improving communication, coordination, and consistency across the firm
* Creating operational clarity that allows leadership to focus on growth and strategy
What We’re Looking For
You are commercially sharp, operationally strong, and naturally solutions focused. You know how to lead people, improve performance, and create structure without creating bureaucracy.
You Likely Have
* 10+ years’ experience within professional services environments such as accounting, legal, consulting, or similar
* Proven experience in operations, practice management, or business leadership
* Strong commercial acumen and decision‑making capability
* A systems and process‑driven mindset
* The ability to see both the bigger picture and the operational detail
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Experience within public practice accounting or a mid‑tier accounting firm is highly regarded. However, we are also open to exceptional candidates from other professional services backgrounds who are willing to learn the nuances of the industry.
